Question

HCG levels 60 at 4 weeks. Have i lost the baby?

I went to hospital last night due to spotting. I was told my hcg levels are 60 at 4 weeks pregnant. She said she was 99.9% sure i have lost the baby. I have to go back on monday for more bloods. Has anyone ever had low levels and had a healthy pregnancy?

Thanks in advance x

She shouldn't be saying u lost the baby if she has nothing to compare 60 to. 60 is within normal range for 4wks, and spotting doesn't confirm a loss either. Try not to worry too much, 60 isn't what I would consider low.

It is the second number that matters more. As long as the numbers are doubling every 48 hours, the pregnancy is normal. Good Luck!

No way to tell until the redraw and see if they double.
Also progesterone deficiency can cause spotting. A dr can call it in for you and it can help save babies if numbers are going up. Prayers

I'm kind of having the same concern. I swear I'm more like 4 weeks 4 days instead of just 4 weeks. My hcg was only at 44 last night (4weeks 3days).....I had a little spotting but during my pelvic exam she said my cervix was closed and saw no more bleeding. I'm concerned this is too low. :( never had a miscarriage before, have 2 healthy little girls.

My hcg was 61 at 4 weeks with tons of cramping and I was concerned too but everything is doubling just fine. 60 is not too low - perfectly within range. It just matters if your hcg is doubling.
