Pregnant or Evap Line

I took two pregnancy tests, one the day my period was due and one the day after. The first one only showed one line. The next day the test showed only one line and later another line appeared.
I know you're not supposed to view the test after the waiting period, but I also know hormones take a while to build.
Actually during my first pregnancy the test came back negative. I went out for the day came back and it was positive. Thought it was an evap but I was actually pregnant.
Anyone else had this happen?
