5weeks2days along...US tech said she saw a ruptured corpus luteul cyst??? Will i miscarry ?
I heard this cyst is suppose to provide progestrone for the embryo for the first 10 wks untill the placenta takes over!!! I dont know if my tech is right in what she saw as ive never felt a rupture??? Im sure its painful no??? And wouldnt i bleed?? Wouldnt i lose all my pregnancy symptoms too? ...cuz all of those didnt take place. I still feel pregnant..and minus the 1 evening i had sharp cramps..it was tolerable to take my dog for a walk and fall asleep...AND i didnt spot at all.... What gives?!?!...maybe she is wrong? Should i feel a certain way if this corpus luteal cyst DID burst?????......help??

From my understanding, ruptured cysts are fairly common and don't always cause an issue to the baby. Did the tech tell you she thought you would miscarry? They'll probably keep an eye on the cyst to make sure you don't start hemorrhaging, as that could cause issues, but more than likely, everything will be fine. Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know).
