Could I be pregnant? (part 2)
This is part 2 of my previous question.
I read somewhere that healthy couples only have a 20-25% chance each month to get pregnant. It's been 5 days since we had sex and I'm extremely dizzy and nauseated and having bad gas. Could a rise in progesterone in early pregnancy before implantation cause these symptoms? I'm so confused.

I disagree that there are no hormonal changes until after implantation. Progesterone surges with the release of your egg with or without fertilization and implantation. Often, this surge can cause symptoms that are very similar to early pregnancy symptoms (nausea, breast tenderness, sleep disruption, etc). So, you could legitimately be experiencing "symptoms," but they're not necessarily pregnancy symptoms. Your positive opk's could be misleading as some women have prolonged lh surges or even a second lh surge during the luteal phase. So, the difficult truth is that "waiting it out" is all you can really do. I don't know when I ov'd, but do know I got my first bfaintp 9 days after Dh and I dtd, so you can possibly start testing soon depending on your own factors.
