Question

Could I be pregnant? (part 1)

I'm going to post part 2 in another question because it can't all fit so please read both.So around 10:45 PM on August 23rd my on and off again boyfriend and I had sex. We didn't use condoms (I know, bad idea) and he ended up ejaculating in me because he didn't pull out in time. It all came out of me pretty fast, but I know millions of sperm cells are released during each ejaculation and even if the semen comes out a lot of the sperm stays in. I took an ovulation test on the 24th (well 4 of them between 7pm and midnight) and they all came back positive. I took another one on the 25th around 7:30 PM and it was negative. I have very regular periods now that I lost over 100 pounds (I used to struggle with PCOS and no periods). I'm assuming that since it was positive on the 24th and negative on the 25th that my egg was released sometime between those hours. If he ejaculated in me around 45 hours before I ovulated, could I have a high chance of getting pregnant? I read somewhere that

It really depends on how many days you have fertile fluid but most women have at least 24 hours worth so it is likely that you could be pregnant. That being said...OPKs actually don't detect ovulation. They detect the surge that preceeds it which can occur up to 24-48 hours before the egg is actually released. They can also give a false positive if you have a surge that isn't related to ovulation. SOOoo it's possible that you ovulated the day after or you could have ovulated days later. Either way...you could have gotten pregnant depending on if fertile fluid was present at the time or not. Unfortunately only time will tell. GOOD LUCK!
