Did I ovulate?
My cycles have been around 36-38 days. I've always had irregular cycles. We began TTC in July with no luck. I bought a ClearBlue advanced ovulation predictor. Not knowing when I actually ovulate, I started testing on cycle day 10. It said low fertility. The next day it was high fertility, and the third day of using, it was peak fertility. I know this seems way too early since my calendar app says I should ovulate more towards day 20-21. It has been 2 weeks since the day the predictor said I ovulated, but my period still isn't due for a while. Would a pregnancy test work since it has been 2 weeks, or did I even ovulate then? I've also been monitoring my BBT, and I'm not really sure how to read it. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!!

Pregnancy test calculator
Use this calculator to help you decide when to take your first home pregnancy test.

My short answer would be yes, go ahead and test. Being that you just started ttc last month you don't have a lot of cycles to use as comparison. Were you paying attention to other signs of ovulation like cervical mucous and cervical position? As for your bbt, if you've been taking your temperature very first thing in the morning at about the same time before you even get out of bed you should see a temperature shift the day after ovulation. Your temperatures should consistently be lower during the first half of your cycle (the time before ovulation) and then your temperature should rise upwards of half a degree during the second part of your cycle (the time after ovulation). This is in a perfect world of course and it can take some practice with charting before you can see a pattern with your temps and opks.
