Is it possible to still be pregnant when bloodwork comes bavk negative at 8 dpo?
I have had a very faint positive on an internet cheapie yesterday. My OB had me come in asap to get blood work drawn because I sadly have a history of miscarriage.
I have been having such strong symptoms ever since 4 dpo and they continue to strengthen. Example: Just last night my boobs hurt so bad that the pain woke me up. Today I am 9dpo and my period isnt due for another 9 days.
This morning the nurse called me back with the results. My HCG was a 10 miu and my progesterone was 14.3.
My question is, Could I still be pregnant? Was it too early for the hcg to be higher?
Right now I feel crushed and could use any advice. Thank you in advance.

Both of those numbers are fine for ur dpo. It's only negative based on their threshold, which is typically 25, but anything above 5 is pregnant. Give it time to rise. The beta should dbl every 48-72hrs, if it doesnt, theres a chance its not viable. I wouldnt stress about it just yet tho.
Congrats! =))

@Dakotagurrl Thank you so much for your reply! You helped me out last week as well! Im the Soy Isoflavones chic. Lol dont know if you'd remember. Crossing my fingers that my fist month of soy is a success! Im waiting till Sat or Sun to take a digital test. And again if AF doesnt rear her ugly head next Thursday.

I totally remember u!! There aren't many Iso girls on here so I tend to remember the ones who do take it. Glad it worked out for u. It's always better to take the most natural route possible. I never got a BFP from Soy alone, but it did shorten my cycles and move O forward for me, so I cant complain! Def update on ur progress. =))

So I have a sad update... my OB himself called me this evening. Apparently there was an error on my chart and my BETA was a .5 not a 10. So now my questions double! 1. How did I get the faint positive at 8dpo?? I took it correctly and threw it away after 10 min! 2. Am I out this month? I still have a chance for implantation at 9dpo and time for the hcg to double? 3. Or should I just chalk this month up as a loss and wait for AF? Sorry!

Seriously? Im so sorry...an error like that is heartbreaking. They really need to be more careful, smfh!
For ur tests, its possible the faint positive was due to a faulty test. It would really depend on the brand. Blue dyes always give some sort of iffy line, some of the internet cheapies (blue handle, pink dye) do the same. Theres also the possibility that u caught the very beginning of the pregnancy and lost it after that. Sadly, that happens a lot, and being so early, the levels drop insanely fast. U do still have time for a BFP if a CP wasnt the cause... Idk that I would consider it all a loss, but def dont keep ur hopes on high, in case AF does show. No one can really say for sure what will happen tho, just try to stay positive!! So sorry ur going through unnecessary pain due to a paperwork error.

Dakota, thank you for being so kind and supportive. I'm kinda leaning on this site as my only support. My hubby is the laid back dont stress, all natural kind of guy and my best friend is reaching her limit of ttc talk since she's not able to have anymore kids. The test I used was the blue handle/pink dye IC. Grr. I'm bracing myself for AF but crossing my fingers. I also took another of those tests this morning and cant tell if its another fp, and evap or an actual faint positive. Might as well use them up right? Lol learn my leason if I need to buy more for next month. I wish the pic sight was up so I could share it with you! At least to verify that im not loosing my last marbles. Haha. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again, hun.
