Question

What is wrong with me?!?! repeated chemical pregnancies

I have a 25 day cycle and ovulate on cds 13-15. I have had 3 chemical pregnancies in the last year. This time my tests are still getting darker but I am bleeding...not spotting/implantation, but actually bleeding so it is only a matter of time before I lose this one too. I am currently using natural progesterone cream...but it clearly is not helping me. has anyone had similar issues and been able to stay pregnant? I don't know what to do anymore and just can't stand the heartache.

Are you getting your progesterone level checked? It could be that the progesterone cream alone is not enough luteal phase support. More likely your CPs are happening because of chromosomal abnormalities. Nothing can be done to prevent that. These pregnancies are "doomed" from the moment egg meets sperm. Fx that your tests keep getting darker and that the bleeding stops. After 3 consecutive miscarriages you should see a dr for some testing. Best wishes.

Thanks guys, I am going to my OBGYN in an hour. I just don't even know what tests to ask for or what the right questions are. This happened two months ago. The US only showed a gestational sac. I was only 5 weeks, though. After losing that pregnancy they did blood work but I never got any explanation about what happened or how to avoid it in the future. It makes me feel broken and is so hard. Mozart, I will ask for my progesterone to be checked today. Thanksxx

Also, if you ovulate on cd 13-15 on a 25 day cycle, your luteal phase maybe too short. It needs to be 12-14 days to maintain a pregnancy. Your luteal phase is 10-11 days. Ask our dr about lengthing your luteal phase cycle.

Usually after 3 losses you can assume it's not just "bad luck". I also had 3 losses prior to having my daughter and I found out I had issues which were hindering proper implantation. I would definitely see your ob, or better yet a fertility specialist, to run tests. First they should check to make sure your progesterone is adequate. The cream may not be enough, you might need suppositories, pills or more. I used progesterone injections in my tushy lol and gel suppositories through the first trimester. They should also check you for common immune and clotting issues. I was on steroids to keep my body from thinking the embryo is foreign (since it is half dh) and attacking it and also blood thinning injections to stop any small clots from forming and cutting off blood supply to the early placenta. If all those results are fine you could look into genetic screening of both you and your partner to see if the combo of your dna is more likely to create all or mostly abnormal emb
