Question

IVF - 3dt with only 2 eggs one 10 & 12 cell - is that good?

What's the ideal cell range I have always heard around 8 cell but never heard any higher than this?

That sounds great! I had a B+ that was 10 cell and a B that was an 8 cell. They did a 3dt and I'm currently pregnant :))

By day 3 the ideal is 8 cell embryos so 10-12 cell is great! That means they are strong, fast growers. The higher the number of cells the higher the chance of conception will be, also you want to see very little fragmentation. All the cells should be fairly uniform in size and shape. Out of the 6 ivf transfers I did though only one was a 3dt of 2 embryos and it didn't work. The rest I waited for either a 5dt or 6dt (fet) when they reached blastocyst stage. My daughter is from a successful frozen 6dt of a hatching blastocyst (5AA) and an expanded blastocyst (4BA). I am pretty sure she was the hatching, bigger, stronger, faster developing one.

What does dt mean? I'm in the middle of an IVF right now and I've never heard the term dt. I have 10 eggs, 2 are larger (13 and 14) and the rest are size 9 or larger. None have been retrieved yet and they might not ever be if I can't get the smaller ones to grow faster. Can you help me to at least understand what dt means?

Heart berry dt refers to days transfer - what they are looking at with you now is size of your follicles it sounds like you are doing well & they are growing - best if luck with it

Egg retrieval day is day 0, equivalent to ovulation day, and the day the eggs are fertilized in the lab. Dt is the day of transfer. Usually if you only have a couple embryos they will do a 2dt or 3dt. If they let them grow they risk losing them, sometimes the embryos do better in their natural environment over being in a dish. If you have many good embryos they will let them grow to blastocyst stage and do a 5dt. This way they can weed out the weak embryos. Sometimes you will hear dpt too, or days post transfer. For example I got my first positive hpt at 5dpt. It was a 5dt so I was 5dp5dt, 5 days post 5 day transfer, which when added together equals 10dpo. If you look at my hpt images they are all labeled this way. It's the easiest way to compare to a "normal" woman's cycle who didn't do ivf. Feel free to message me if you have any ivf questions. I have literally done it all!
