Question

AF with Pos opk and Ewcm

Is it possible to ovulate twice a month, once while on your period? The past 2 months my periods have been lighter than normal, with a lot of ewcm and positive opks the day before, and 2 days after af starts. And af only lasting 3-4 days.

It's possible for your body to gear up to ovulate, have trouble, and then gear up again to ovulate, but you can't ovulate twice in one cycle. To answer your question, you CAN ovulate twice in one calendar month only if your cycle is very very short, but this means you would be having two separate menstrual cycles in one month, with two separate ovulations. You can release more than one egg during ovulation but you can't have two separate occurrences of ovulation within one cycle, meaning you couldn't release an egg on cd 14 and then release an egg again on cd19. You can't ovulate while having your period, but you can experience bleeding while your ovulating, although you wouldn't call that type of bleeding your period. If you're having positive opks during your period I would suggest talking with your doctor.
