Hi there, when I misscarried my midwife told me to wait until I had stopped bleeding and use ovulation tests to see when my body/hormones had regulated it self again. Which I followed her guidance as she also said to start trying as soon as I felt ready. So after I had a my d and c and finished bleeding I started having sex and lots of! And my little boy is 8months! Also you can ovulate even if your still producing milk. I am having what is I think my first period after giving birth and still able to produce milk even though my little boy has been weaned off me for 4 weeks. I hope this makes sense and helps. Xx

It ALL depends on if you have begun ovulating again yet or not. When I had my miscarriage it took me 6 weeks to ovulate but some women ovulate right away. The type of miscarriage you had can also play a factor in things because having a D&C is said to make you "more fertile" (assuming you are ovulating) because the fresh tissue and uterine lining is particularly easy for a fertilized egg to implant into. I WAS able to get pregnant with my first post miscarriage ovulation so it's totally possible.
