Question

Sensible or OTT?

Hi! I'm TTC my second child, currently waiting for ovulation to take place. My son is napping in bed and I'm sat here drinking a cup of tea thinking about all of the 'do's and dont's' that comes with pregnancy. For example, caffeine intake, only taking paracetamol if I really have to rather than anadin extra or ibuprofen (I have a stinking cold at the moment)
Other things like what's foods to avoid etc. I'm not even pregnant yet! Please tell me I'm not the only one who's obsessing over things like this. I feel a bit crazy!!!
I just want everything to be perfect and I know that if I don't get pregnant this month or next it won't be because I did anything 'wrong'
Does that make sense?
I think it stems from having a miscarriage a few years ago and also I'm quite an organised person anyway so I like to do things by the book.

I'm with dakotagurrl. My two dc were born nearly 7 years apart, so when my youngest came along, I had virtually no baby gear from my oldest. We are major planners and set a time to ttc based on a convenient due date. With #1, we decided around September that we'd ttc at the start of the new year. With #2, we decided around June that we'd ttc the coming November. What that gave me was ample time to obsess and since I like to research, quality compare, price compare, do safety checks, etc. While it would probably have the opposite effect on others, for me, it calmed the insanity and made use of my obsession. When we started ttc #3 last year, we were set on baby gear, which I made me grateful for financial reasons, but I quickly realized that it made the waiting almost unbearable, especially in the tww. Sadly, I lost that little guy and this pregnancy came a big surprise. I've found that it's been a lot harder to "feel" pg without my usual Internet scouring for baby stuff, thoug
