Progesterone level 20.3....mc x 2, my next options...
Just for background info, have mc twice now, last time Sunday evening, I was 5weeks. Fell preg before I got my day 21 progesterone blood results back and phoned the surgery a day or two after getting a bfp, mainly out of curiously to see what the results was and they said it was 'normal'. So now I have miscarried I phoned the. This morning to get the exact figure and they told me it was 20.3, now according to the research I have done this indicates i do ovulate but progesterone levels are probably not adequate to sustain the pregnancy. I've read on the internet that many docs don't seem keen to hand out progesterone suppositories/tablets. Has anyone come across this? I'm going to see a diff doc tomorrow for advice and hopefully he will agree when I fall preg again he will prescribe, if not I will shell out and go private (poor credit card!!). What are your thoughts on docs handing out progesterone tabs, any of you come across a do. Who won't prescribe?.xxx

Most drs will prescribe progesterone supplements and won't deny it to patients who might benefit from it. Out of pocket costs for progesterone (endometrin, Crinone) can be high. Prometrium is often covered by insurance and is more affordable. You can also use over the counter progesterone cream.
