2 x MC in 4months and losing hope...
Hi ladies, I guess I'm just after some support and your knowledge on what I can do next time and what you ladies have done. Had a mc on the 23rd May 2015, waited 7weeks for period and fell pregnant in July, after 9months of trying period never showed after a romantic mid week break and we were ecstatic to say the very least, ended up in hospital last night after having another mc, I was 5+2. I already have a 18month old boy but desperately want another, I'm nearly 37 and can feel my clock ticking (and my eggs drying up!). We both had tests, semen and bloods inc 21 day progesterone and everything normal. What am I doing wrong? What can't I keep hold of these beans? Is it something to do with thin uterus lining? Can my doctor prescribe something? Please help me with any answers. I feel like my heart has been broken yet again. Am going to wait until the new year now until we try again to reheal and rest. Thank you ladies.xxxx

Hi, really sorry to hear that you had a miscarriage. I have no advice but just wanted to say that in really sorry to hear about your loss! Did you see your GP? Maybe your body just needs a break since your last pregnancy. My elder sister(35) was told by her doc to wait two years before trying for baby no. 2. Though I can understand with age you want to try sooner rather than later. Anyway take a break for a while and enjoy your lil one, I'm sure baby number two will come along soon! Take care! Good luck and baby dust to you! You are in my prayers!

Most miscarriages happen because of chromosomal abnormalities and can't be prevented. If miscarriages are due to low progesterone you should take progesterone supplements. I recommend seeing the dr as soon as you see a positive pregnancy test to have progesterone levels checked. In early pregnancy you can also get several HCG tests done to see if the numbers are doubling approx every 48 hours which would give you peace of mind.
Ask your dr if he recommends a low dose aspirin regimen for you. Some drs find it beneficial for women with previous miscarriages. Best wishes and hoping you will have a healthy pregnancy soon.
