Bleeding in early pregnancy can be completely normal or it could be a miscarriage. It's difficult to know unless you get checked out. There isn't just risk for the baby with bleeding, there could be complications from a miscarriage that could put your life at risk if you don't get checked out. On a side note...I went through multiple fertility treatments and finally had a baby on my final try but I was considering adoption if it didn't work. I would have gladly adopted a baby, even if that baby was conceived after a rape. I am sure there are other potential families for your baby that would love and raise your baby no matter how they were created. Just something to consider...

It's also difficult for me to not feel grief stricken at your situation and your choices following such a horrible circumstance where your choice was taken away. My heart goes out to you fully and I'm so sorry for your experience. I do agree that, while it is through no doing of your own that you are now pregnant, the option to adopt your baby into a loving home is always there. All that said, bleeding and passing clots during pregnancy can be a serious medical issue that can lead to more serious medical issues. Medically, nothing can really be done to stop a miscarriage, but you need to make sure you're not hemmorhaging or have any infections that could put you at risk. You should go through your local ER where they'll likely do an ultrasound to see if the baby is still alive and if you have an active bleed. Blood work will be positive for hcg for a long while, yet, so tests like that won't give you the answers you need. Update if possible. Prayers for you.
