Congrats! One suggestion for diapers, bottles and wipes. Dont stock up on one kind til u know if u and/or baby likes it...esp bottles. Some babies are really picky with the nipple they will use (same with pacifiers), diapers are a try n see kinda thing too.
One thing I LOVED, still do, is the sleepsack. Its a wearable blanket and it is AWESOME! My DD is 10 months and still sleeps in her "bag" at night. U can get some that swaddle as well. Bibs are a must...many, many bibs. Dont bother with the wimpy little burp clothes, theyre tiny and baby will miss them every time, receiving blankets work awesome for that job and are cheap. Some type of swing or vibrating chair/seat will help quite a bit too. We also have a munchkin sound machine, it has diff sounds (rain, ocean, whales, heartbeat, lullaby etc) to help baby sleep. We use the rain sound at night so DD isnt woken up by the dog walking the house at night. Works like a charm!!

Get a baby sling, especially helpful for fussy babies. My sister-in-law raised 7 kids and the baby sling was her favorite. There are tons of different kinds to choose from!

My most used item to this day is the cloth nappy. My youngest is now three and I still use them every day. Not to use as a nappy, I seriously don't have the energy to wash that much but as an all purpose baby wipe. Over the shoulder for spews, under the bum for nappy changes, quick grab and soak up for spills, every mess baby related. Congratulations. Don't go overboard you won't need half the stuff you think you will and they grow really really fast! :)

I have 4 children and the things I used the most are receiving blankets , oneis, have to have a baby swing and love the bouncer chair. Like the previous post said don't buy to much and go crazy cz you will never use it all . I received all kinds of gifts for my first and went crazy and never came close to using it all . And they really do grow fast . Enjoy your bundle of love :-)
