False positive?? FRER fail?

I have over a week left until AF is expected but I felt like I might be pregnant so I took a generic pregnancy test last night and it came back positive! However, this morning I did another test using the same generic test (it came in a pack of opk strips from Amazon) and used the same urine to dip a First Response early result test. That one was negative. I'm so confused b/c that test should be the one that picks up pregnancy the soonest. What should I think? Is this a chemical pregnancy?

False positives are rare but do happen. hcg doubles every 2-3 days, I'd wait and retest tomorrow or the next day.

Some tests are just less sensitive after I got my first bfp I did a test about 3 days later and there was barely a line so I freaked out - I did another one (diff brand) and the line was stronger than the control line. I think your best option is to go and get bloods drawn. GL
