I can only relate to part of your question. I miscarried my baby girl at 13 weeks. I saw the baby come out so there was no question and it was very sudden and unexpected. Worst day of my life. However, I got pregnant again the following month. Overall it took about 4 weeks for my levels to go back to zero. And then once I had my first cycle after, my husband and I tried and it worked. I can tell you that once your levels hit zero, your period counts where it is just spotting or a heavy flow. And it may last only a couple of days or it could be a week. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and3 days. Spotted brown for 3 days before, walked to get a dating scan and started bleeding bright red after that. Scan had shown a heartbeat but 5 hours later the baby and placenta both passed at the same time (worst part was that I was in the toiletwiping at the time and caught him Iin my hand. I can't get the image out of my mind), the bleeding stopped about 2 days later and within a week my scans looked like I'd not been pregnant.

I had 1 cycle between, counting the bleedingfrom the loss as the start of the next cycle, and am now nearly 27 weeks pregnant with an awkward but healthy baby (aawkward because they kept their legs closed with cord between so we don't know the gender. )

Sorry to hear this as I recently went through a similar miscarriage I found out at 8 weeks that the baby had stopped growing at 6 and I passed it at 10 weeks. I spotted for about 4 days and then passed the vast majority of everything within a few hours and had no pains really. So to me it does seem a long time to still not have anything happen. Have you spoken to your health care provider? I had a scan at 11 weeks if it hadn't happened naturally by then they would have given me a tablet to bring it on.
