Question

Ovulation tests

Hi Ladies
I have on average a 34 day cycle. Just wondering when is best to start testing for ovulation & what others did in my position? Just don't want to miss any chances but the kits are pricey so don't want to waste any tests either.

Hi, I first put my details into the ovulation calculator and get the range of possible dates when I should be fertile. I also keep an eye out for egg white cm. as soon as I see egg white cm I start testing with the ovulation sticks and this has helped me as sometimes the fertile period according to the calculator and my body differs quite a bit. Either it's a bit earlier or later. Though it depends on whether you are able to identify egg white cm. I have found it a very good predictor of what my body is up to at least where ovulation is concerned. The best thing to do is once your period is over do the deed every other day or once in three days. Then when ever you ovulate you are covered! But in case that is difficult then follow the ovulation calculator in conjunction with cm. btw all ovulation packs have an information booklet which tell you when to start testing based on your cycle! Good luck!
