Question

Positive or evaporation line?

Hi all, I'm bit confused by tests. On Saturday night I done test which was negative but when I went to take it down to bin a couple of hours later there was a faint line in test area, so I straight away done another, which stayed negative. Last night I done another, which again was negative but few hoyrs after faint line appeared. I have just read on google about evaporation lines, I'd never heard of this before. My period is a week late, I'm not sure what to make of it and I'd be very grateful for any help, thanks xx

An evaporation line happens after the test has dried and sometimes leaves a line where it would have been positive.
Pregnancy test results should not be read after 10 minutes of taking the test.

Thanks for your reply, I'd never heard of evaporation lines until today, but next time I'll make sure to discard tests after ten minutes, is too confusing otherwise lol xx

Sometime when your hcg is so low the test has to dry before you can see the positive line. Take another one in acouple of days. If it's not darker, it could be a chemical pregnancy.
