Sometimes you O later than you think you do, or it could take longer for implantation.

Ya just gotta wait and see, I know it's hard, but it's the only way you'll know for sure.

I can imagine how frustrated you must feel it would drive me crazy not knowing but if you know your cycles and 20DPO is a long time and a BFN surely somethings not right unless you could b under a lot of stress same as me for delayed AF if it doesn't come in a few days I would surgest doing another HPT and maybe consider going to the doctors for a blood test and mention how your back has been feeling lately to the doctor that would be my surgestion I hope you get down to the bottom of it soon GL x

How are u confirming ur O date? U shouldn't make it to 20dpo without being pregnant. The corpus luteum (leftover follicle after ovulation) cant sustain itself for longer than 16 days without another source (pregnancy or meds). I'm thinking ur O date is off.

well ladies am 41dpo and know I ovulated on the 29/30 due to using OPK and cm/cervix check, I've had one positive test that was very early and after reading reviews on the 10 miu tests i now believe it was a coloured evap, I have had blood tests and all come back negative doctors said they wont do anything till I have missed 3 cycles! I had some pain the other day and begged my doctor to send me for a u/s which in the end he caved and has done a referral but I still have to wait 2 weeks for the appointment gggrrr so i'll just have to wait it out!

Mummyheff - Unfortunately, OPK, cm and cervix checking is not an accurate confirmation of O. Reason being, estrogen levels control cm, when estrogen levels rise, cm becomes fertile and LH tends to rise right behind it...and the cervix is the most unreliable of them all, it changes by the minute. Not sure which cheapie u used, but there are a few that give off some very convincing evaps, and some actually give false positives. I had a cycle in May 2013 that I had positive OPK's 3 times, about 4 days apart each. Those were accompanied by tonnes of ewcm/wcm, hso cervix and lotsa ovary cramping. I would've sworn I O'd the first time but temps never confirmed...temps finally confirmed an O date 12 days after the first suspected O. So really, as soon as u start ur next cycle, u def wanna consider temping becuz signs alone will not confirm anything. U may not have even ovulated, tbh. If ur positive u arent pregnant, then u can induce AF as well.

I am 21 days late for AF. I ovulated around April 10-20. Or so I thought. Apparently I ovulated late or not at all bc I still have no AF but all the symptoms of pregnancy. High soft closed cervix, lotion like cm, heartburn, lower back ache, frequent urination, sore boobies, metallic taste in mouth, bloating, constipation, slight nausea... You name it I got it but still getting a negative test.

dakotagurrl- I know how ovulation works am a trainee midwife and have had 3 children already so very aware how and what my body is doing, CM checking is a very good way to see when you have your fertile period during your cycle, many women read their opks wrong and think they had a positive when they didn't this is why I check CM at the same time so I know it co insides with the testing am doing, the brand of hpt I was using was one step so wont be using early testing again as it brings heart break.e
ANYWAY I started heavily bleeding during the night and went to A&E to be told I was having a miscarriage, I would of conceived around the 29/30th (I HAD A + OPK) but had a chemical around the 10/11th which would of been 2/3 days before AF and its taken till now for my body to catch up and know its not pregnant. there is no wrong or right way to check for ovulation but you should really listen to your own body and not what the text books tell you how it works!

Mummyheff- not exactly how the hospital could tell u ur having a m/c if all u got was an evap and negative blood tests. Sounds to me like u just had ovulation wrong. Cm & opks are great ways to give u an idea of when ur fertile but they can't confirm o. U can have surges of estrogen and lh and NOT ovulate.

Checking for ovulation and confirming ovulation are too very different things. Being a midwife in training, u should know that. If u'd like to re-read my comment to u, I didnt say cm, cp and opk werent useful tools to foresee ovulation, I said they wont confirm it took place...and they wont. So please dont try to make it out to seem like I said something I didnt and dont know wtf Im talking about.
