Question

Positive OPK yesterday, negative today? Did I already O?

I use the clear blue ovulation predictor and yesterday afternoon I got a positive the day before that it was negative. Today I wanted to check and see if there was still a high surge and it's negative. I'm confused does that mean that I've already ovulated? I feel like it happened so early this month my +OPK was CD11. We DTD CD9, CD11 and probably will continue tonight and tomorrow...I feel like it all happened so fast and I'm a little nervous that we did DTD enough prior. Does anyone have any insight? This is our 3rd attempt after 2 m/c's

The length of the surge has no bearing on when/if u ovulate. U can O before a surge, wayyy after its gone, not at all or even without one. That's the problem with urine testing, there are quite a few factors that can alter the results of said test. If ur not temping, there's not really a way to be sure of O, so I'd go with O being the day after the first positive OPK. Since O *should* take place 12-148hrs after the first positive, 24-36hrs is the avg/median, and a safe date to assume O. Its not a guaranty, so definitely make sure to bd for at least another 2-3 days...also, consider temping next cycle if this one fails.
Good luck! =))

Thank you so much! That makes a lot of sense. I've been thinking about temping it just seems a little confusing and they say you need to do it for a few months before you get know your cycle. But I feel like it may be worth it if we don't get a bfp this month. Hopefully this is the month for us though and I won't need to chart temps. Thank you again I appreciate your response :)

Tbh, becuz cycles can change on a whim, temping for x amount of months will tell u nothing more than ur first chart. Nothing is exact...after temping a few cycles, u'll be able to read and better understand ur chart but it certainly wont become predictable. Ive been doing it for years and have never had two charts alike, even when they share the same O cycle day. Outside factors alter numbers, which alters the chart. Its frustrating and annoying but well worth it in the end.
Lemme know if u need any help with it if u do decide to take that route. GL! =))
