Ovulation twice in a cycle? Anyone or am I the only weirdo out there?!

My cycle was off this month, I ended up getting my period on the april 30, which is cycle day 24, (normal 28 days) had it heavy for two days and then Saturday cycle day 3, pretty much nothing, some spotting here and there throughout that day only and DH and I did the deed. On cycle day 6, got a positive OPK and temp change. Then again on cycle day 15 I got the same thing, I just tested today BPN but I have so man strange symptoms that I would only get if I was pregnant. Sore sore boobs, peeing a lot, swollen fingers, bloating, temp of 99.1, nausea, constipated, stuffy nose and sinus problems, so I have no idea what the heck is going on with me. Has anyone had this happen or maybe have any suggestions, advice anything at all. Thanks

You ovulate only once during a cycle but depending on your cycle length you can ovulate twice in one month. The fact that you had two positive OPKs does not mean that you ovulated twice. OPKs pick up LH and not every LH surge leads to ovulation. Hope this helps.

Can u post ur current chart? It sounds like u did O, those are all signs of ovulation, I've had them all and not been pregnant. As for when u O'd, I'd need to see ur chart. As Mozart stated, u wont O more than once in one cycle. U can ovulate more than one egg, but it will be within a 24hr period. Once progesterone is released, further follicle development is ceased. Progesterone is also a main cause for many signs/symptoms. If u O'd with the +OPK on CD15, u'd be about 7dpo, which is around the peak of progesterone but too early to test. If u O'd with the first +OPK, u'd be right at the end of the cycle, 17dpo-ish and would most likely have an accurate answer for ur pregnancy tests.
