Don't worry out bodies do that sometimes. I was 7 days late one time and then got my period. As we get older our cycles change for sure, had stress or stressful situations to that, and our body reacts differently. But to answer your question my OB told me that normally women don't even know they are pregnant for at least a week or 2 after their missed period. It can take that long for the hormone to build up. Back in the day that is how it was done, because of course they didn't have tests to detect low hormone levels like they do now and I think we failed to realize sometimes that was the norm because we want to know right now, if we are. So hang in there and take some deep breaths!! I have a 5 year old and been trying for last few years and believe me I have experience some strange things happening to me. Blessings to you and Baby dust to us all! : )

My cycles are always 26 days, last month I traveled though and was a bit more stressed than usual and AF was 4 days late. Even if ur cycles are super regular, sickness travel or a number of other things can definitely affect ur cycle. I wouldn't worry about it at all, unless u start having pains (like in the case of a tubal pregnancy).
Good luck!
