Question

5 weeks, BFN, lactating????!!!

I'm possibly 5 weeks pregnant.
22Dpo
10 days late (had a brownish discharge 2 days before af. Very little)

Today i noticed a few tiny drops of what looked like milk coming out of my nipples! When I squeezed it it just came out! Is this bizarre or what??

I literally had all the signs of pregnancy but keep getting strong BFNS.

I don't know how relevant this is but I had an abortion 9 months ago at 7 weeks. Could this have anything to do with that? :/

Pregnant women experience higher levels of prolactin (which is what makes them produce milk) but some women who aren't pregnant can experience the same high levels (called Hyperprolactinemia). I had this and had to take medication to bring my levels within normal because high levels of prolactin can cause cycle issues and also can cause lactation. I doubt a previous pregnancy would cause your level to increase and stay elevated for that long. I would agree with the other poster and see if you can get a blood test to see if you are indeed pregnant. I assume early lactation in pregnancy isn't super common but not sure. If the test comes back negative they can test your prolactin level (easily through bloodwork) and it's usually easy to lower with medication.
