Question

First ultrasound with weekly monitoring

Hi all ???? I'm not pregnant yet but just wondering. I've had three consecutive miscarriages, two of which were very early. My RE said that they would be closely monitoring my next pregnancy for the first trimester with weekly ultrasounds and blood work. I'm just wondering if anyone who was in a similar situation would share what week you had your first ultrasound. I know they can't see much of anything before 6 weeks but I also know they have crazy ultrasound machines there that show a lot more than what my normal OBs machine did (I've had an ultrasound already with them just to check things out). Just wondering, I want to make sure my husband comes to the first ultrasound ???? thanks! We're trying again this month so fingers crossed this one (or two!) sticks!

I also had 3 early losses before my 4th and current pregnancy. I had early ultrasounds at 6 weeks and 7 weeks with my RE. I was then discharged to a regular ob and had a first appt with them at 10 weeks (no u/s). Then I had a first trimester screening u/s at 12 weeks. My husband went to all 3 of those u/s appts with me. The 6 and 7 week ones weren't too exciting as baby was just a little kidney bean shaped blob and we only got to see the heartbeat but he loved the 12 week one because the baby looked like a baby, was bouncing all around and we got to hear the heartbeat. Even though the first 2 were pretty boring it was nice to have him there for moral support because I was super nervous every time after so many early losses. Are you doing anything extra this time around to try to prevent miscarriage?
