Gonal F out of the fridge
i accidently left my gonal f pen out of the fridge for 10 hours or so. Everything i have read says that its ok at room temp for 28 days. I started out wit 3 growing follicles this cycle but not have 1 thats 1.7 and one thats 1.4 on cycle day 11. They want to increase my dose from 100 u to 150 u today to try and get the 1.4 follicle to mature before iui. Is this just my body reacting different this cycle to the gonal f or could the med not be working as effective ? confused!

Not all the follicles that you start out with will mature and every cycle you will usually have different numbers of follicles to start with naturally and then your body can react differently. I did 4 iui's and 3 ivf stim cycles and had way different numbers every time. For the iui's I had anywhere from 2-6 mature follicles each cycle and the ivf cycles I retrieved 13 eggs, then 23 eggs and then 24 eggs. I also had varying lengths of cycles as well with the same doses and same meds, sometimes the eggs mature more slowly and sometimes faster. Sometimes I stimmed for 12-14 days and one time I was ready after just 6 days...so you never know. Leaving the gonal pen out wouldn't change it's effectiveness, it's just your body. Now if you left it out for a couple months and it expired...then maybe it could have an effect.
