we are 39 week pregnant and mout contractions are increased?

I need help regarding my wife, she is pregnent with may 39th week and before today she was not feel contractions like periods but today this morning the contractions are increased and they are painful. please help me that what is going to happened now and when should i be ready to go to hospital. doctor give us 15th May due date.
