I would ask for another ultrasound. My ectopic was a little different, my hcg was higher and raising faster, but still not enough. I had brown spotting but no pain. So it can start hurting, then stop. It sounds like an ectopic to me though. Sorry, hun. It's the worst. But you need to be taken care of early, or it could rupture a tube or something like that.
If you have severe pain, go to the E.R. because ectopics can be deadly.
And definitely get another ultrasound. Maybe it was too small to see the first time.

so according to your April 24th af due date you would have been 5 weeks yesterday. That is too early to see much of anything on an ultrasound. At most they would see is a sac in the uterus maybe not even that depending on implantation. I had a ruptured ectopic on my honeymoon on a cruise ship in 2007. I had bright red bleeding that only happened in the morning and would stop for the rest of the day. I was pretty tired but had no pain other then the shoulder pain that happened once my tube ruptured and I was bleeding internally. I had to have emergency surgery that day in St. Thomas and had most of my right tube removed. I would insist on another ultrasound asap. As eka414 mentioned, ectopic's are serious and considered life threatening believe it or not. I don't mean to scare you or stress you out but please be persistent with the doctors. Tell them you are concerned about an ectopic. And I was still able to have two more children with only one tube :)

I thought I would update to perhaps get some feedback and to help others that may come across this thread.
72 hours after my HCG result of 56 and at 5weeks 6 days i got a hcg of 120, internal us also done the same day, but nothing in uterus or tubes. Dull ache on right side but other than that, no spotting or anything. Now confused more than ever. Go back for another us and blood works tmrw.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
