What's all the hub bub about probiotics ??
So I've been hearing a lot lately about all the benefits of probiotics. Also read that women with fertility issues should take a probiotic w/ acidophilus, as its supposed to help w/ vaginal issues & make it healthier. So my question is have any of you heard of this??? Or taken them w/ positive results?? And if so what brands are best for women. There are tons of them out there!! If anything I would like to start taking them just for overall health, they sound promising.
TTC a little over a year, I'm 36, dh is 44. Drs can't find any logical reason we are not conceiving. I have 4 prior children w/ ex hubby.

Not sure about helping with fertility but I've been taking acidophilus capsules ($5/60 at grocery stores) for years and they keep me regular (digestion) and I have had a yeast infection even when on antibiotics. So there are benefits to taking and if fertility improves that's one more reason! Best of luck

I don't think there is a link between fertility and probiotics. My acupuncturist who specializes in fertility gave me a complete list of fertility supplements but didn't include probiotics. My regular RE if asked would say that there are no statistics that show a connection. It can't hurt to take them, they are always a plus for the digestion. Best to you.
