Question

Worried and confused

Im 3 Days late, I got my positive HPT yesterday! This is my first time trying to conceive and I'm just nervous about everything! I've been reading books and a lot of apps and what I'm most worried about is a chemical pregnancy! When am I safe to say I'm pregnant?

I'm not too far ahead of you. I'm two weeks late, I had a confirmed blood pregnancy test last week. I was weary at first but I figured stressing over losing the baby can't be good for my body. Just go with it, enjoy every moment of being pregnant. You don't want to miss out on the joys of first learning that you're pregnant because you're worried about something totally out of our control. Soak it in, be happy and congratulations!!

With a positive pregnancy test you ARE considered pregnant. Rising HCG levels doubling ~every 48 hours are a good sign confirming that it's not a chemical pregnancy. The first ultrasound to detect a heartbeat at ~6 weeks is a milestone. After that the chance for a miscarriage goes down to 5%. After the first trimester the chances go down even further. Congratulations and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy!
