Question

AF is 5 days late, I'm 19 dpo and getting BFN?!

Hi there,
I've been ttc since December and I think I've been having some problems. I possibly have PCOS, but I'm staying positive.
However, this month, I am 5 days late which in unusual - I'm never that late. My cycle is usually 31 days, I am on day 37. I'm currently 19 dpo if I ovulated when expected.
Today, I took a pregnancy test for the first time and it was clearly negative.
Should I be discouraged? Could it be a fn? Basically is it normal to not see a positive result yet.
** I am currently not experiencing any major pregnancy symptoms and I've never been pregnant.

It is possible you did not ovulate. Last time I did not ovulate (even though I got positive opk) my cycle was 41 days. My doctor had done blood work that month to check for ovulation and my progesterone level was .5. He started me on clomid the following month and I am currently on month 5 and have been ovulating with it. I also have mild pcos but I wasn't ovulating on my own. I had regular periods and positive opk every month but wasn't ovulating. Been ttc number 2 for over 6 years.. trying to stay hopeful with the clomid.. at least with it I know there is a chance. I'm going thru something similar. I have long and irregular periods but I'm currently on CD46 and 21DPO, which is unusual even for me. All my HPTs have come back negative so I went to my doctor yesterday. Her urine test was also negative so she ordered a blood test. I should know by Monday but I've been cramping lightly since 7DPO so, even if the test is negative, I'm going to request an ultrasound before I try using a progesterone prescription to try to force AF. Let us know how everything works out for you, sugar.
