TTC after Stillbirth
I gave birth to a beautiful sleeping baby girl back in November. We were devastated but as time went by me, my husband and my family all got strong and closer together then we have ever been and we knew even though we didnt get to enjoy all the joys of having her she was given to us for a reason and that was to bring us all close together. So after some time to heal me and my husband have decided to start trying again but it has not been as easy as our other times. I have 2 other children 5 and 2. Is this normal to have troubles after a loss? Before our loss my cycles were 30 days and now they are 38days. We are not going to extreme measures to have another baby right away but Im still worried I wont be able to conceive again.

I am sorry for your loss. I too also went through the same on February 20th giving birth to my stillborn son. It is the most Extreme of emotions... the UPS the downs... the bursts of tears out of nowhere. Now that you have decided to try again, see if you can be referred on to a perinatologist to get a prenatal checkup. They will build a plan based on your wants and need specific to you. You may need to have a round of blood tests to check your TSH levels, prolactin levels and anything that may interfere with your fertility. I already know I have hypothyroidism after I MC in 2013. My periods were coming later than my usual 29 days and I would bleed heavily. It was until I had an ultrasound to check if i had fibroids (none) and had my TSH and Prolactin levels checked that they found that my TSH levels were off. That answers to why I had a MC at 13weeks. I lost my son due to premature placental aging which caused clotting that blocked flow to the umbilical cord. Make sure you go into

this with all your questions and a game plan. I'm sure you have a relationship with your OB, so just make sure you ask any questions you have concerns with. Make sure that they refer you to a High Risk Specialist (Perinatologist) to watch you closely as you start your journey and through the pregnancy process.
