Sore bewb blues or not?

I am 18 months from my last depo shot and would really like to get pregnant. Every month I get premenstrual sore breasts about 3 or 4 days before my expected period (10-14 dpo). When I get that familiar sore feeling at around 10 dpo, does this mean I didn't conceive? The embryo could possibly still implant at this point, right? So having premenstrual symptoms is discouraging. Is my body already getting ready to start AF? Anyone with typical premenstrual sore breasts not have that symptom when they were actually pregnant?
