Is it possible to get a positive pregnancy test on the day of implantation?

I got a very faint positive on a pregnancy test which would have been 8 DPO and on the same day I had what felt like implantation cramps. So bad that I felt like I might be having an ectopic pregnancy. Today I tested and got an even lighter line. I am not sure what to think about it all.

Once you get pregnant, you can have all sorts of cramps and discomfort, especially early and late in pregnancy. So maybe you just ovulated earlier than you think? Or had implantation early?
