Question

Miscarriage and ovulation

At roughly 8 weeks pregnant and after seeing a heartbeat, I unfortunately miscarried. I scheduled my D&A for Wednesday April 1st, then had my check up a week later only to find out that even though I bled, my lining was still ridiculously thick. I went back on Friday the 10th for a second D&A, and once again bled. Today, April 16th, I went back in for another check up, my lining has thinned and she even thoughts follicle starting to grow, but my beta came back at 700. My question is, is it possible to ovulate while still having a beta that high?

So sorry for your loss. I am no expert, but I would say no. 700 seems too high, although I know you can ovulate while hcg is still in your system. When I was around 100, I went in for an u/s and my doc noted that I had a corpus luteum cyst on my ovary, so we know I ovulated. I think 100 or less, there is always a chance you will ovulate; however, every woman is different, so if your doc sees something indicating ovulation, especially on an u/s, I would go with that. Best of luck!
