Can you get pregnant while still EBF?

I am a mom of 2. I am currently breastfeeding my youngest who is 8 months old, he gets breastmilk (directly from my breast), he also eats table foods and drinks juice/water from a sippy cup. I am TTC #3, and I wanted to know if breastfeeding while trying to conceive makes it harder?

I remember my doctor telling me chances of getting pregnant while breast feeding is low but is not impossible. especially if you menstrual circle has gone back to normal you can still get pregnant while breast feeding.

I personally couldn't - my prolactin levels kept me from ovulating. But I have many friends who got pregnant while breastfeeding, a few that never even got a post-partum period, and two that got pregnant while breastfeeding and on the mini pill.
