metallic/iron smell?

so I normally just use OPK but this month I decided to try charting my cervix position and CM

today I checked my cervix position, its high and soft but when finished I could smell a metallic/iron smell from the discharge this was on my gloved finger,
has anyone had this before? could this be from implantation as am around that date or is this a sign of AF on its way?
