Question

Can you ovulate and not be pregnant OR get a period while breastfeeding?

I'm still breastfeeding my 20 month old a few times a day. 7 days ago I got a positive ovulation test so if course we "brought the love" and tried to make a baby. My question is am I going to either get a period of a BFP? OR could i just get neither? I'm dying to take a test but I know it's probably too soon to tell.

While bfing, ur body can gear up to o but end up not actually oing. A positive opk doesn't verify that u actually ovulated. If u didn't o, then u may not get af. But if u really did o, it will be followed by af or a bfp.

thank you burgbrandy - how can you know for sure whether or not you ovulate? Will I have to see a doctor for that?

Bbt is the most accurate way to pinpoint o, but if uve already od, bbt won't be able to tell u anything til next cycle. U should start tracking everything if u don't get a bfp this Cycle. Bbt, cm, and opks are all helpful and work best when used together. It's much harder to figure out while breastfeeding though.
