Is an HCG level of 85 low in the first 1 - 3 weeks of pregnancy?

I had 3 positive pregnancy tests, all different brands but with very faint lines. I honestly thought they were evap lines. I took a digital test the 27th and it was negative. The following day I started what I thought was my period. It was a day early. I bled for 3 days, fairly light compared to my normal periods. I stopped bleeding for a day and decided to test the following morning for some crazy reason. I used a clear blue digital and it said Pregnant 1 - 2 weeks. I went to the doctor and they could not find anything on an ultrasound but my test was positive and HCG level an 85. I go back tomorrow for another blood test to see if it has risen. Anyone else have this happen, what was the outcome. This would be my second miscarriage.
