Recent chemical pregnancy is confusing me on cycle days
I had a chemical pregnancy this month. I got several clear BFP's on CD 26 but CD 27 I had a fainter BFP and CD 28 BFN. I'm now CD 37 of a 30 day cycle and no AF. My question is, when can I expect to actually have AF and do I count that first day of bleeding as CD 1? Might be obvious to others but its confusing to me because I am late but definitely not PG. Could the 5 BFP's (2 FRER and 3 Wondfo) have been wrong or caused by something other than an actual pregnancy?

Hi Ahsleybelle78
I'm sorry for you loss... I had a CP myself in February. I counted the first day of bleeding as CD1, and I believe most ladies here with a CP did. Your other question (when you will start bleeding) I cannot answer. I don't think the 5 tests were wrong, certainly if it were clear BFPs. Have you seen your Dr? If you are worried, or it is taking too long for something to happen, I would advice you to do so.
Good luck to you!!!!

Sorry for your loss! I also had a cp in Nov and I was so confused with everything being I've never had one before and didn't get many answers from the Dr. I would also count CD 1 first day of bleeding. My periods were beginning of each month around 4-5 every, month before cp then it took 2 months for my periods to get back to normal. Now I'm about mid month every month for them. My first period started 4 days late after cp and was normal but then started to bleed 1 week later and spotted for 10 days then the 11th day started my first normal cycle. Don't know if this will help you but wanted to share my experience. I also got positive hpt for 6 weeks after the cp. It took 6 weeks for the hcg to finally come out of my system. Best of luck to you!!

Thank you Alice_Wonderer and Blessedmomma56! Both answers are very helpful. I asked my doc a few questions after the BFN but figured I'd start my period as expected. To date, I have not. But it sounds like I should expect a couple months of getting back in a routine. I am sorry for both of your losses and wish you the best of luck!

Dear Ashleybelle78
I'm glad I could help! To give you some hope: I just found out I'm pregnant again, 6 weeks after my CP. It is definitely not the hcg of the previous pregnancy, that was already back to 0 after 1 week. And my hcg now is higher than it was before the cp. I hope you'll be lucky too soon!!! And you too, blessedmomma56!!!
