TTC when DH job keeps him away a lot.
DH and I have TTC for 16 months but his job keeps him away for a week or two at a time. He is only home for 2 or 3 days then out again. Any ladies out there have any advice for us? We r using opks and BBT to track ovulation but not having a lot of luck since opk only give us 24 hrs before ovulation and BBT rise happens after ovulation. Anyone know of another way to track ovulation that would give us more time before ovulation?

The only other way to know how close you are to ovulation is to do blood tests and ultrasounds to track follicle size, endometrial lining and corresponding numbers on estrogen, etc. This would be an expensive way to check for progress. It is difficult TTC when husbands travel for work. We have been dealing with this for a long time and it is very frustrating. I hope it will work out for you soon. Best to you.

We are in the same situation. Other half works on a fishing boat. We have tried a couple of monitored cycles with letrazole and I've managed to get him home, but most of the time if I wait for positive OPK I cant get him home as he's too far off the coast to get home. Following this to see what other options are out there (apart from IUI)
