Ovulation pain & EWCM

Hi. It is Saturday, CD 14. I experienced EWCM on CD 12(slight), 13 and today. I also had very localized ovulation pain on my left side on CD 13 and today. We BD in CD 9 and CD13. He works bad hours. We plan on BD again tonight. My question is, is O pain & EWCM before, during or after Ovulation? My friend told me once you feel the pain it's too late, but I read if it's localized to one side it's the egg release. Anyone have any more insight on this? TIA.
