IUD and bleeding after sex
I have had an iud since August 2014. I had heavy bleeding from time put in until about 3 months ago. I now have bright red bleeding 75% of the time after sex. For the first few months after it was put in, I could check for strings and feel them. I haven't been able to feel the strings for the past couple of months. I also have low abdominal pain and back pain off and on. Is the bleeding after sex with iud ok? Do you think the strings may be there and I just can't find them now?

When I had mine I bled on and off for 6 months after and I lost my strings 6 weeks after it was put in but I had a u/s to check it was still there. I also experienced some bleeding after sex try being gentler and see if you still bleed... Either why I'd go see your doctor just to be on the safe side
