Prolactin levels 43.6. Please advise!
Hi,
We are TTC for about 11 months now and I had my blood works done last week. The doctor said my prolactin levels are very high since he put me on bromocriptine and recommended another round of blood test after 3 weeks. Has anyone experienced this? I am not sure what to expect..so far no side effects coz I take the medication right before going to bed. Please share your thoughts and experience and if you've had any success once the hormone levels are regulated using such type of medication. I hope my prolactin levels come down and I can get pregnant soon. My hubby's semen analysis came out normal so thats good news.

I had a very high prolactin level in November.. it was higher than yours but it was because of a medication I was on. I didn't have 2 take any type of meds 2 bring it down I guess it just went down itself (after I immediately stopped the medication that was causing it) cuz I got pregnant very soon after. im 14 weeks. good luck!

memberI've had high prolactin levels and have been on bromocriptine. The medication worked very well and brought my levels down to almost zero. I had other issues, I believe, keeping me from getting pregnant so I can't say it was exactly my high prolactin but definitely having a normal level helps!
