I was a teen mom as well I was 16 when I got pregnant with my now 12 year old daughter. I'm now 29 I have 3 daughters and pregnant with my 4th. I didn't tell my parents I waited until they were able to tell because I was too embarrassed. Maybe get someone else to tell them if you feel embarrassed, or just let them find out on their own.

If you think you have become pregnant from the sex you had last week, then it will be far too early to tell. So even if the clinin test comes back as negative you may still be pregnant. As for the telling your parents thing, i know exactly how you feel. I'm 19 and 5 weeks pregnant, I don't have a job and still live at home. I know my mum will be mad but will support me no matter what happens. Honestly it depends on the relationship you have with your parents, if you know they'll support you then just tell them out right :) I'm sure it would be much more hurtful if they heard it from someone else or thought you were too embarrassed to tell them

Like the other response said, it is most likely too early to tell if you are pregnant. I understand being scared to tell your parents. I was 19 with my first and my parents were not happy as they are very traditional, but now 12 years later they are over it. If you decide to raise the child, life will be harder but it is doable. I went to school and got a degree as a medical assistant. Fast forward to now and I am married for 2.5 years to a wonderful guy with a great job, my daughter is smart and beautiful, I own my own house, I will graduate with my bachelors degree in August, and just found out I am expecting baby #2 in November! it was NOT easy and I had to struggle and work very hard, but it is not the end of the world - you just have to grow up a little faster than other girls your age. Good luck to you, let us know how it goes!

way to early to tell yet. I also had my first at 19. its ok. nothing to be ashamed of. What i would be ashamed of thou is having unprotected sex. I'm now married to my first and been together for 13 years. Unprotected sex brings worst things then a baby. a baby is the best outcome, HIV, HERPES, HPV, etc...are way worst and life issues. Please use protection until you know 100% that he's the last man you will be with. And both get tested before you get to far involved, just to know! Better safe then sorry. Good luck Oh and i'd say by the end of March you'll know if you're PG.
