My doctor told me I was miscarrying 4 weeks ago she said my cervix was closed but my hcg had dropped a little. She told me to come back in 4 weeks to get it check went back yesterday and they were 71. I have no idea what's going on. When I first found out I was pregnant my hcg levels were 69 then dropped to 54 now they are 71

im sorry ur going thru this ): but unfortunately it does sound like a loss.. if im reading this right u had a slight drop n HCG 4 weeks ago.. & ur doctor didn't want u to come back until 4 weeks later? anyway if ur HCG is only 71 a month later I would prepare myself ): have u had any spotting? in early pregnancy HCG is supposed to double every few days. if urs was 69 then dropped a little bit to 54 & is now only 71 a month later there is something not right. look up HCG levels on google. my first time getting my levels checked a few months ago they were 809. a week later they were over 11,000. in early pregnancy they should never drop & never rise by only a few. when u get later into pregnancy levels can drop a little/stop rising. but never at a level of only 71. im sorry. I wish u the best & u will go on to have a healthy baby!

don't scare yourself I don't think it would be anything serious. have they done an ultrasound or did u have any spotting/bleeding 4 weeks ago? I don't think u could get pregnant again until after ur miscarriage is over & then you've ovulated again.. which is possible since its been a month since u were told u were miscarrying.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you might have had an incomplete miscarriage, sometimes afterwards there may be a little piece of the "products of conception" left in your uterus. If there is then that little piece will make your body produce HCG, it won't rise very much, will probably stay around the same. The piece will eventually come away and your body will pass it but it might be that you need a tablet from the doctor to help you pass it. Your doctor will probably wait a couple of weeks and test your levels again to see if it's gone and go from there. If you have any pain or yucky smelling discharge you need to go back to the doctors so that they can get that remainder out for you so it doesn't cause an infection. Hope this sorts itself out for you soon Xx
