That's definitely positive, you are pregnant. It's a possibility that it's an early miscarriage, but they won't know that for sure until they do a second blood draw. It's still very early on

Thanx... hopefully im just a slow hcg riser.. but that reassuring... hosp made me feel like i was going mad trying to tell me im not pregnant despite taking along all 8 tests!!

what?? they told u that u weren't pregnant?? um according to my doctor any HCG level over 5 is considered pregnant!

Not sure where you live but in Canada anything above 20 is positive for pregnancy. Depending on where you are in your cycle (like if you are testing before your period is due??) your levels will be lower and then rise substantially. In my experience you are supposed to go for 3 blood draws with in 48 hours of each other in order for them to get a definitive answer as to whether your levels are rising properly (they should at least double every 48 hours). If you are late and going into 5 weeks and further on then you may need to prepare yourself for the fact that it may not be a viable pregnancy. Right now, however, you are pregnant! So congratulations! :)

Thanx.. someone else with some sense...bn wondering if i was going mad today..I had to argue this with the a&e doc to get a gyn review. The worst of it is im a nurse.. in that same hospital ????.. i dont know loads about all this but i do know where to source factual info on blood tests. The gyn doc was much nicer and did say it was elevated but not as high as would b expected and they want me back for more bloods on sat. Its worrying enough without being treated like an ott idiot whilst going thro it all. I even had a blood pressure of 189/90 and they didnt bother to re-check in the 6hours i had to endure there!!! Think i should prob put in a complaint.

Well im only just 2-3 days late... go between a 30-34 day cycle and didnt get +ve opk until cd 20-21.... so fingers crossed i implanted a bit later too.... they didnt seem interested in my cycle at all which seems rediculous!! Think ive unfortunately seen an a&e doc whos got no interest or knowledge in obs/gyn!!

Beta hcg up to 137 yesterday! ????.... fingers crossed it keep on like this... looks like hpt just came up really early! <3
