Question

9w3d....symptoms gone???? Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi ladies

I'm trying hard not to worry but I can't help it from about 3.5 weeks I had crazy tender boobies, they grew at an alarming rate, crazy sore back and the nausea started at around 7weeks (boobs got bigger and even more tender) I had a scan at 6w2d (dating scan) and saw my wee beans heart racing away. I'm now 9w3d and over the last 4 days my symptoms have nearly completely gone - my breasts are no longer tender and losing size every day, the nausea has stopped and I am no where near as tired as I was (the exhaustion was all consuming). I am due for my 12 week scan in 3 weeks time but I really just don't feel pregnant anymore and would rather know now than have to wait another 3 weeks like my midwife is suggesting (emotionally i feel i would go insane before the 3 weeks was up). Has anyone else had a complete loss of symptoms after having such strong early symptoms and then go on to have a healthy baby? Thanks in advance for your replies xx

I can imagine that you are experiencing anxiety over this. Some women lose pregnancy symptoms to some extent and still everything is fine. Hopefully, that's the case for you. I had a loss of symptoms also. Fortunately, my dr was doing weekly scans bec of my high risk status and I didn't have to wait for an extended amount of time before knowing more. Sadly, with my pregnancy things didn't turn out right. I hope you can get a scan and good news soon.

That's about the time that the placenta takes over progesterone production, so it's not uncommon for symptoms to go away then. But if you're concerned, I'm sure your doctor can bring you in for a look-see. Your peace of mind is important.

I have spoken to my midwife again this morning and I was a little more "assertive" than what I was when I voiced my concerns to her the other day - she has reluctantly agreed for me to have a scan done. I'm booked in for tomorrow morning - so keeping fingers and toes crossed everything is ok and it's just my placenta has taken over a little earlier. Unlike a seemingly large portion of the other posts that frustratingly DON'T seem to update what the outcome is ........ I absolutely will post what the outcome of the scan is so that any other chickies whom maybe experiencing smiliar things to me know either way what my outcome is :-)

I had the scan done today and I am super happy and relieved to report that there is a wee baby in there, heart beating away at 167bpm and wriggling about and waving his/her hands about like she's at a disco. I was so relieved i immediately dissolved into tears (happy tears). So now i'm going to try my hardest to just relax and enjoy this journey. I'm now thinking perhaps i'm just one of the lucky ones who only had a short burst of symptoms :-) Thank you so much to you ladies who took the time to reply and share your experience with me - It really helps to not feel so alone xx
