Question

Ovulating late?

I used OPK's this past month and they said that I ovulated one cycle day 23. I have a 28 day cycle. Is it even possible to conceive with my cycle running like this?

Unfortunately if you ovulate that late then a potential bub wouldn't have time to implant and stop your period from coming. Hope you can go to the doctor and get something to fix it.

Did u temp to confirm O? U more than likely didnt O cd23 of 28. How soon are u starting OPK's? U can ovulate without ever getting a positive, u can also have positive tests after O. OPK's dont confirm ovulation, they only indicate a surge in LH, which can really happen at any time with or without ovulation. I would look into BBT charting and add that to ur next cycle, then if u O cd23 of 28, u have something to show ur gyn, instead of saying ur OPK's said u did.
Good luck! =))

If you always ovulate day 23 of a 28 day cycle - then, yes, that's a concern. A luteal phase shorter than about 11 days will make it incredibly hard to get pregnant. However, if you just ovulated late this cycle and your luteal phase is normally more than 11 days, you should expect your period to still occur that same time frame from ovulation - which would make this cycle longer than 28 days.
